on a cobweb afternoon
in a room full of emptiness
by a freeway i confess
i was lost in the pages
in a book full of death
reading how we'll die alone
and if we're good we'll lay to rest
anywhere we want to go

on my deathbed i will pray
to the gods and the angels
like a pagan to anyone
who will take me to heaven
to a place i call
i was there so long ago
the sky was bruised
the wine was bled
and there you led me on

and on i read
until the day was gone
and i sat in regret
of all the things i've done
for all that i've blessed
and all that i've wronged
in dreams until my death
i will wander on

in your house i long to be
room by room patiently
i'll wait for you there
like a stone
i'll wait for you there
alone

Well I've been here before
Sat on the floor of a grey room
Where I stay all day
I don't eat, I don't sleep.

Desole, if someone is praying for me today
Desole, even if I choose to scream and shout
nothing will come out better if I did.
Desole, for everything.

I'm all alone again
Crawling back home again
Stuck by the phone again
I have been here before

I stay at night with nothing to do but think
And then I would write about everything
Everything and nothing
Desole, for everything I wrote.
Sometimes I dont really think. I just write.

Pray for me
Coz even a smile will do for now
I'm all alone again
Trying to crawl back to my home again
Stuck by the phone again.

Have I still got you?
Have I still got you to open the door for me?
Have I still got you to be my sandy shore?
Have I still got you to cross this bridge in this storm?

Nothing is really lost.
Everything is just frozen in frost.
There's no words needed.
No one-liners this time.

All I know is that, you still got me.
You still got me to open the door for you.
You still got me to be your sandy shore.
You still got me to cross your bridge in this storm.

Desole, for everything.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master;
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run--
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it

R. Kipling
