I have not been reporting at work for the last 7 days coz of a recent medical finding that needed an immediate medical attention.

Day One (Tues)
Feeling too much pain in my abdomen...thinking its because of my first day of "its a girl thing"... I just slept on it...

Day Two (Wednesday)
The pain is still there but not from me having the time of the month...since it went away the same day (thats pretty much how weird my body system is)... so I went to Medicard in Festival Mall...the resident general physician there asked me to have a urinalysis...so which I did, they found out that I have UTI (which I always had since HighSchool) and then he said constant infection in the body is not a good thing...so he said "Okay Apple, we will rule out kidney problems, rule out ovarian problems and rule out urinary problems" So he told me to check with an OB-GYNE...my regular OB is in Singapore so my mum insisted that I should just check with a new one...so I went to Asian the following day...

Day Three (Thursday)
I met with Dra. Alfiler -one of the recognized OB of Medicard, and the first thing she did was get my BP...which was a whopping 170/100...(OH MY GOD!!!) thats what she said and how old are you again??? 24 po. And she looked at me and said, "thats quite young to have a BP like that!". So then she took a look at whats wrong with me, had the regular OB thingy ma-jiggy thing. Then she recommended me to go and see a cardiologist... Well this is the first time for me to see one, I have always seen a Neurologist and a shrink never a doctor for my heart. I think it is safe to say that I am officially "broken-hearted"...hehehehe...

Then I went to meet with my new cardio doctor, Dr. Roxas, and the same BP showed...170/100... and he wrote all the things that i needed to do, blood test, heart test, 2d echo of the heart, treadmill test (to figure how big my heart is) and more blood test.

Day Four (Friday)
I checked in at the Out-patient department of the Asian Hospital and went to have my first set of Blood test... which includes glucose, nitrogen, creatinine, sodium, cholesterol, rbc, wbc and hemoglobin count.

In the afternoon, I took my TVS (transV-ultrasound)... I couldn't face that alone so I called in my sister Abbie to stay with me.

Day Five (Saturday)
I came prepared for my Treadmill test and 2d Echo...
The nurses from the Heart Station are asking me lots of medical questions that I cannot seem to understand but I know they were explained to me already. The 2D echo came first... it took only a mere 15-20 minutes...but it left a mark in my heart...it bloddy hurts!!!

Then I saw my cardiologist for my much anticipated Treadmill Test to see how big my heart had became... the test is called BRUCE (Treadmill Exercise Test) I had a good 10 minute exercise!!! and my new cardio is impressed how well i can excercise.

SUNDAY
Was rest day...to prepare me for my next test on Monday...Kidney and Uterus

Day Six (Monday)
I went to see my neurologist first and had my BP checked... it was 160/100...okay at least it is abit lower than 170...He advised me to drink 3-4 glasses of water before heading to the Radiology Department of the hospital.

When they called my name, I was praying all along that I dont have any kidney problems...coz hell, I dont have a gallbladder, nor do I have any appendix, I don't want to loose my right kidney as well...

They performed an ultrasound for my kidney and uterus... they asked me if I wanted to wait for the results or have them sent to my doctors... "I want to know the results first" and so they asked me to wait for it patiently... which I did while reading the book 5 people you meet in Heaven.

Then came the results...my mother was so frantic as well that she went immediately to the hospital after her college graduation.

It turns out...I have a normal kidney and uterus... (Thank God!!!)

I paid my thanks by going to the Chapel...and silently thank Him for letting me slip this one.

Day Seven (Tuesday)
My follow-up consultation with my doctors...

Dra. Alfiler: Glucose count high - and it has been for the last 3 months. Recommends to see an endicrinologist. Cholesterol - high - Recommends to see a dietrician (not covered by medicard) hehehe. Kidney and Uterus - Normal- TransV ultrasound results: I have a polycystic...thingy majiggy... -scarry- Recommends to be treated immediately because it can be cancerous. Needs to see her 2-3 times a year.

Dr. Roxas: Cholesterol -high- too high infact coz he just placed me on the 2nd stage Hypertension at 24 years old...shacks!!! The treadmill test went well, but he wants me to continue with the cardio at the gym and he recommended Gold's Gym for their Cardio workout...which I will sign up when I meet with the cardio therapist tomorrow. (Definitely not covered with medicard...hehehehe) And still recommends that I see an endicrinologist. Which I will on Saturday. And then my heart he said got bigger...way big for my age. And he said that I should not take this lightly because this can kill me eventually, if I do not give proper medical attention. So I am going to have the heart rehab, the cardio excercise and the swimming thing that is good for the heart. (Although, no diving for me!!! Not until after 6 months)

Now I am back at work...and its piling up :) so till my next medical treatment... sayonara for now :)
