Every year, everyone gets to have their own list for the New Year's resolution...

And probably to that effect, only a few people actually do make it happen. Coz I know, I was too stubborn to do anything...But last year, by a miracle, I was able to do 5 out 7 of my new year's list. The 2 things was left was to go to Angeles and talk to the one person I havent spoken with for the past 4 years, and do Saturday Art School teaching at the local highschool for the public students.

Now...

1. I want to send one kid to school... ( In which I am planning to do, thru World Vision.) I do highly believe in the values of education...and thru this small contribution, I will one kid a chance to learn and that just brings so much warmth to my heart.
2. Because I want to send one kid to school... ( A contribution of P800 a month...) it means that I will stop drinking STARBUCKS frequently...
3. Compliment April when she gets straight "Uno" from school
4. SAVE SAVE SAVE!!! (Thanks to my personal accountant: Ms. Nellie) she will help me save... hehehehehe... thanks Ma'am Nellie. Coz next holiday season, I want to treat my parents to a nice vacation... (I mean, they did made a lot of sacrifices and with that I want to show them that everything was greatly appreciated!)
5. Focus less on things that doesnt matter: Like buying DKNY clothes, DKNY shoes and DKNY bags...not to mention, the habitual lacoste shopping spree... (For a once-a-shopaholic like me, giving this all up is really a hard thing to do)
6. Donate all of my clothes that I haven't used in ages... (because of my shopping skills, my closets are filled with clothes that doesnt fit me anymore, coz it shrinked already because i have never used them)

There...those are my new year's list of resolution...

(One thing I came to accept, is that I cannot change simply because I have to... so that others can appreciate me. This is who I am, and for that I am grateful to God for giving me a unique character in which I am proud of being. I love myself...so I do apologise for the people who thinks that by changing means that I will become a better person. )

For this coming 2006, I wish everyone a wonderful and blessed year ahead. May your days be filled with love and happiness and most of all contentment in life and peace of mind.

Growing up, I have always loved the feel that Christmas brings... the lights, sounds and most of all, the traditional gift-giving between family and friends.

Well I am so predictable in terms of gifts, so predictable in fact that I always get a toy, a CD or a Starbucks item from my family and friends. Not that I am complaining, I love receiving gifts no matter how small or big it is...

Last year, I splurge for my parents and my sisters... Now, I have spent much of my hard earned money for myself...(buying the Spongebob set courtesy of Dessagirl, the watch that Iris insisted I should buy and the Palm 505 that my sister asked if she can have it and give it to my brother-in-law Joey)... Hay... since it's Christmas and I never liked the idea of saying no...I agreed to all of it...

Plus, the moment I got my paluwagan money, my mom took me to ATC to spend it in 2 hours...hehehehe...well, it's my mother, period. :P

Luckily, I was able to buy alot of Christmas gifts during the grand sale in Rustan's back in September...so I got already a gift for my sisters...but April insisted that I should buy her another gift that can be match with my first gift. Kathy wanted a shopping spree in Silverworks, because she said theres loads of gold in Dubai, so she wants to be different... and Abbie (the eldest) she probably thinks that I have loads of money to buy her an entertainment system...hahahaha...so I ended up buying her a Creative MP3 player (she doesn't like IPOD coz she said "everybody have those already").

I still have loads of things to buy: for my friends in Alabang, my bestfriend which I have to FedEx by next week so it would arrive in her doorsteps before Christmas eve, pay for my mom's membership application to the Spa in ATC (Dear Lord help me!!! :P) and my dad's other gift apart from what I gave him a week ago... and my Baby in the Christmas gift-giving at work...

So I need money...hahahahahahaha.....

Oh well, its Christmas, so I will worry about the expenses later :)

Happy Holidays everyone...

wedding 002

Let me introduce to you to my good friend Marivic, she and I have been friends since Highschool in UST. I am very fond of my friend Mavic, so much that I call her "SQUI" ; which we both don't know where it came from... It just struck me one day, that she looked like a squirrel... it doesn't make sense...I am pretty sure of it.

I want you to meet her coz, she is one of the few people that I know who wants to study forever....

As in, when we were in college, she took up Political Science and then after graduation...while most of us newly grads wanted to work already and face the "real world"... she immediately decided to study LAW...which she is very good at, and she is currently on her 3rd year. After her law studies, she told me during her sister's wedding, that she wanted to take up MA in Diplomatic Studies...she actually almost cried coz she told me that she feel really wasted coz she's the only one who hasnt work between us friends...

As her dear dear friend, I told her that she can study all she wants...as long as your parents are willing to support her. She's very intelligent, and I know that when the moment comes that she wishes to work and be a lawyer.... she will be doing a damn good job at it...

Go Squi...you can do it... :)
