A long time ago
We used to be friends
But I haven't thought of you lately at all
If ever again
A greeting I send to you
Short and sweet to the soul I intend

Ah ah ah ah

Come on now honey
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when
You're good to go

Come on now sugar
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when...

It's something I said
Or someone I know
Or you called me up
Maybe I wasn't home
Now everybody needs some time
And everybody knows
The rest of the lines
In everybody else's show

Come on now sugar
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Remember me when
You're good to go

Come on now honey
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when
We used to be friends
A long time ago
We used to be friends
A long time ago
We used to be friends
A long time ago
Yeah

A long time ago
We used to be friends
But I haven't thought of you lately at all
If ever again
A greeting I send to you
Short and sweet to the soul I intend

We used to be friends
A long time ago
We used to be friends
A long time ago
We used to be friends
A long time ago
We used to be friends
Yeah...

My friend Beatrice is turning a year older... and I would like to share some of my most memorable moments with her...

July 1989... (Alabang Country Club)

I met her the first time, I was having lunch with Anna and her mom.
When she was introduced to us, she extended her hand to both Anna and me... with her big brownish eyes with a big red spectacles...she said "Hello, I'm Bea, what are you eating?"

And that's it!!! from then on, we knew we'd be good friends.

September 1996...(ATC)

Bea, Lily, Regina, Stephanie and I were meeting Anna and her cousins from LA
Bea: "Hi, Anna you're cousins are cute! Can I marry into your family?"

May 2005 (My 24th birthday in VBar)

Bea talked to my friend Ryan for almost the entire night, she was ecstatically happy that he lives in the same village, but it turned out...she has a hidden agenda.

Bea:"Hey Ryan, can I hitch a ride?"

Yesterday.. during a phone chat...

Bea:
"Apple, do you think I'm pretty?"
Apple: "Of course!"
Bea:"Well, then...that's why you're my friend right. Friends should always compliment each other."
Apple:"So Bea, do you think Im fat"
Bea:"What? That's ridiculous! You're not fat, just chubby!"
Apple:(laughing!)"I thought you said we should compliment each other!"
Bea:"Oh gosh! Right...can i take it back then?"

So...my friend is very interesting, she has a wonderful personality...but most of all..she has the ability to always crack up our nerves.

Here's some random facts about her:

1. When she was 12, she broke her nose...now her nose is like Princess Diana, has a slight curve...
2. She is obsessed with Johnny Depp, the only actor she knows that is worth watching!
3. Try to sing a boy band song of Take That to her face, you will die a sudden death.
4. Her dad gave her a 3-series 2 door for her 18th birthday, she only used it twice. (during her graduation trip with us heading south to batangas and during her first day in school)
5. Her house is like the supermarket...they have everything on stock!
6. Her room has always been in RED...(she said red relaxes her eyes!)
7. Ask her where she gets her clothes, she will say..."I made them pagawa, this and this are all pagawa."
8. If she doesn't make pagawa, Bea is into Miss Sixty and Top Shop clothes.
9. Her boyfriend now is still her first boyfriend in HS...(I swear, if i don't hear wedding bells by the time I leave, I give them a shotgun wedding!)
10. She spent thousands to watch DLSU-Archers in UAAP, but she ended up attending Ateneo.(Again, don't ask her why or be prepared to die!)

Happy Happy Happy Birthday to my Peace Corp. affecionado friend...

Miss you dearest...see you next month!!!

There's about 5 things I obsessed about in life...

1. Taking pictures of other people
2. Eating absolutely anything (but with exception to snakes, balut and chicken feet!)
3. Reading good books
4. Playing the piano (I swear, if you're at my home, and you hear me playing the piano, don't you ever dare try to distract me...I hate that the most.)
5. Painting

I started to paint probably the same time I started paying serious attention to my musical studies...and that was about when I was 8 years old. I remember, I saw one of my cousin's painting which he gave to my mom... and I told myself that I want to do something like that. I started reading books about it, when I saw the works of the old renaissance artist I was captivated by its beauty and as to how one person can paint something so real...

I actually got frustrated at first coz I couldn't paint something nice...well, probably because I was only 8 years old. hehehehehe... But I didn't loose hope, I still kept on painting, I kept on studying different forms, different strokes and different styles...from abstract to pointillism.

When I started to become more at ease with my style, I started joining competitions. My first art competition was sponsored by the Ayala Museum...I was 15. I presented a 15x20 painting of an aeta in mix media; from then on, I sporadically join art contests...my last contest was for Art Petron...

By the time I started for art school, I was very much comfortable with my style and form; and my a few of my professor saw that I was in a world of my own (I think they meant it literally!!! hehehehe)

They say as a painter, never give your painting for free. But me, I always have a knack for breaking the rules... I paint, and I find someone who likes it then give it to them for free... coz for me, when someone appreciates your work, its just makes your heart flutter. But don't get me wrong, I also sell some of my paintings... I have one painting that was sold for 35k. It was a 20x30 oil paint (portrait) of some random guy I took a photo of while I was sitting pretty in Greenbelt 3.

My friends always said that my hobbies are expensive, eg: photography, painting, diving and eating...hehehehehe... but I do tell them to shut up coz I love what I do, and I would always continue to do it. :D

Here's a few of the things I did that holds a speacial meaning for me, that I am particularly fond of...

(Painting no. 1) I took a photo of a foreigner while I was eating lunch in Tagaytay...

(Painting no. 2) My bestfriend gave me a book called "the boy who would be king" and in there he said, "I think Leo di Caprio would find it to be easier for him to be king of hollywood than I being king of England"...

(Painting no. 3) I went with my friend Maynard for a summer vacation in their province, his parent's country villa is near the sea, so every morning I would bring my camera with me and take pictures of the local fishermen...and this is one of them)

(Painting no. 4)
I really like painting people in nude, it brings out the real beauty... sadly though, because I am an impressionist in nature, I have my own way of showing it. This is one of the few remaining nude paintings that I have at home.

A couple of days ago, I contributed my entire Saturday helping out with our annual company inventory...

I rang Kenneth Mandark and asked how he would go to the warehouse, his reply... "I don't know!" well, knowing Mandark, I think I would have known that line was coming.
What I did was I told him to wait for me in McDo ATC, I would give him a ride to the warehouse... :D

Last year's inventory, was quite tiring and most of all... it was my first time doing it, so I was still quite lost with the process... but I later got the hang of it. This year, the same workload but this time... we are being "observe" by the M.I.B. (Men in Black) hehehehehehehehe...

But of course, it wasn't all work for everyone... we made sure that we had fun on the sidelines... I was going through some equipments in the Alcatel side of our warehouse when I saw this huge box... that looks like you can put a bloody coffin on it... hehehehe... apparently, they use to stock about 1000 pcs of IP Phones of Alcatel... so I went inside the box and asked Marie Marie Marie to join in the fun and we took a photo :D

I also love the food they serve during inventory... and the local pancit is really a yummy treat for me... (I think it is quite obvious with the photo right?) hehehehe... if you can see the stickers all over my face, thats the sticker with my initials that I would place on the boxes that I was able to count, check and sealed. :D

Okay okay... I can hear my friend Anna saying..."What another k-pop blog?" :D hehehe... but honestly, its been quite a frenzy since Feb. 15 for all of us who love's Rain and Hye-Kyo...(in case you still don't know, they are the main characters of the 2004 FullHouse korean TV Drama)

Since 2004, people had speculated that they are indeed an item. My 4 Korean friends had always said that back in Korea, they were already considered an item except that Korean media really does value the privacy of their entertainers. And during the hype of the series, they have never hinted that a possible relationship had flourished during filming...until now.

They were in Changsa, China to promote FullHouse since it will be the first time that it will be aired on Free TV. During one of their TV interviews, one of the Chinese host (which were all wearing weird gold costumes, I swear...) asked Rain and Kyo to answer all the questions they would flash on the card...

Some of the questions were:

a.) For Rain: Who's the most lovable person?
His answer: The most lovable person for me, is sitting next to me
b.) For Hye-Kyo: Where were you during Valentines day?
Her answer: I was on a plane coming from Austria. (some bi-kyo addicts are convinced she was there because of the Berlin Festival where Rain's movie is nominated for an award) well for me, I dunno...hehehehehe...
c. )For Rain: What are your dreams in life
His answer: He wants to get married blah blah blah...and that he wants to have a daughter as pretty as Hye Kyo.

(Haller!!! earth to Rain... I think for someone who dislikes attention about his personal life being talked about so often, even if he knows that he's a darn superstar... I really don't know why he said those words, hahahaha... he's probably hinting something...)

When he said those words, literally it was the talk of the town...heck it was the talk of the whole South Korea and probably China and the Philippines...

Just when everyone thought that they would die of suspense, the following morning, he was seen at Hye-Kyo's hotel villa... ding ding ding!!! :D

I really can't help but post this blog, coz I really like Bi-Kyo... he's so cute and she's so pretty... heck if JiHoon and EunHye of Goong would go out for real, I'd write about them too... ahahahahahaha....

(Here's some photos of them together :D I really love the first photo, just check how Rain looks at HyeKyo...so cute!)

Hi guys... I went hiatus for a long weekend break to celebrate the start of the New Year... although its quite insane to think of it coz its already February... (ngayong lang kasi po nagka time to actually file for a VL)...

Went with a few friends and my distant cousins Robert and Victoria... whom found time from their equally busy schedule to join me.

Actually, I just went to see Bea who is in Coron with her family. I might say, Palawan is really still one the best vacation destination in the Philippines and perhaps the world...

I just went diving almost the entire weekend, catching up with my buddies... and just plainly went to sleep in the vacation house rented by Bea's family in one of the nearby villages in Coron.

Food was always a pleasure, although technically, I am not allowed to eat loads of seafood because of my heart condition. But none the less, it was worth it. Crabs, shrimps, fresh tilapia and oysters were served everyday with a bottle of ice cold beer on the side.

Can't blog much, except...I am still downloading 31 out of 260 emails left unopened...hahahahaha...

good luck on that...

I have a post valentines date tomorrow with Paolo (which my friends still thinks its really weird im dating someone who has the same name as I am...Paolo and Pauline...hahahahahahaha) were going to watch Music and Lyrics (last full show in Atc and late night starbucks...hahahaha...)

Happy Hearts day to everyone...

I saw the news this morning, and it was quite a shock to see whats the CNN Breaking News... Anna Nicole Smith, the famous Guess Jeans model and Playboy Centerfold died in her hotel room in Miami...

Just 5 months ago, I saw her in the headlines when her son Daniel died in her hospital room, just after she gave birth to a daughter. Everything shown in ET and E! News was about her... now sadly, the news is her.

I like Anna Nicole Smith, she's like this one of the most least-understood celebrity in Hollywood... Guess Jeans made alot of money when she was their image model. Many thought of her as a gold digger when she married an old Texan multimillionaire, J. Marshall. (I think thats his name) but for me... I think, she really did like him. I mean, its never impossible for a 26 year old woman to fall for an 80 year old man. Plus, she wasn't the only one who ever did it...

In the news they said, she died of overdose... and prior to her death, The Enquirer (one of the biggest tabloid magazine in the US) accused Howard Stern (Anna's life partner) of giving Daniel methadone before he died in Bahamas...

Whatever the gossips are... for someone who follows the sad story of her life, I think... she was not able to recover from the death of her son. They are pretty close, she was a great mother. And sometimes, like in Starwars Episode 3 where Padme didn't had the will power to live because of Anakin becoming evil... I think, Anna Nicole was exactly like Padme...

It is a sad reality indeed that one's sorrow can be too deep, and we cannot even find strength to recover from it.

May she finally rest in peace.

My best pal Anna will once again leave me in a shattered state of mind by packing her bags and moving to Sao Paolo, Brazil for her husband accepted another term as a volunteer medical doctor for Unicef.

Last week was a major buzz for me, Job Fair, inventory, and more design concept for our affliate companies...

UST Job Fair...

During the UST Job Fair, I was given another opportunity to visit my Alma Mater...suprisingly, I still can't help but smile how truly beautiful my beloved campus has become...

UST Main Building... it's one of the oldest surviving buildings in the Philippines since the WW1 (I think, but I stand corrected in case anyone here knows the real deal)... I have loads of fond memories here when I was in HS...like going on top of Main Building just to skip PE (that was the time I was in the injured list in our varsity team, so I couldn't play basketball...

This is perhaps the most wonderful thing that they did for the campus... This fountain used to be a big canteen where you can eat fishball, sizzling steak and it also houses the precious photocopy center...

But I love what they did with this... it's laid back and the surroundings are more attractive to actually think of STUDYING!!! I mean, if they thought about this during the time I was still an Art Student... I would have loved to chill in this area doing my paintings or my readings rather that watching movies and spending moolah... in the mall :D

But just like the banner in the photo... I will forever be proud to be a Thomasian...
Viva Santo Tomas!!!
