According to the author, Anne Brashares " I've always like the idea that clothing can hold emotions and memories together"... well, for some...it really does. As for me, it only happened twice in my lifetime.

Anyway, the story was about 4 friends who in their 16 years of friendship will be parting ways for the first time for one entire summer. Lena (The conservative type) is going to Greece and visit her grandparents for the summer, Carmen (The writer) is going to spend her summer with her dad who lives in Charlotte, Bridgette (the famous one) is going to spend hers in a soccer camp in Mexico, while Tibby (the rebel) decided to stay home and finish her "suckumentary" about what she sees as the downfall of everyday life.

A day before they leave town, they came across a pair of pants on a thrift store which accidentally fits to everyone of them. So they decided to call it "miracle-magic pants" and vowed to share it with each other as they travel...so thus the name "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"

While wearing the pants, Lena met Kostas who apparently belongs to the family which Lena's grandparents absolutely abhors. Of course, the two fell madly in love and in which Lena feels that it was Kostas who made her see her real beauty inside and out.

When Carmen got her hands on the pants, nothing magical happened to her, except she found out that her father is actually engage and is going to marry a "suburban" wife... she would often argue with her father simply because he is happy...(I cried alot while I was watching her part!) I guess I do associate myself with her...I am as angry as hell, but I simply choose to be numb about it. But before you readers out there lecture me of the things I need to do, I already told my father what I feel... and I do acknowledge my faults as a daughter, and believe me it was hard as hell. But hopefully, one day...my dad and I can get there...

Then it was Tibby's turn for the pants... she met Bailey, a 10 year old girl who has this unbelievable magic towards everyone...who made Tibby see the other side of the average daily life. Then Tibby got her heart broken by finding out that Bailey has leukemia and that she had been battling the sickness for more than a year now and that she had stopped responding to treatment. When Tibby asked Bailey if she is scared of dying, she simply replied..."Not of death, but of time... Not having enough time to do the things that I wanted to and experience everything".

I have a friend who passed away from cancer, at 15 she was young and so full of life. Never in a day that she wanted us to worry about her, about how it will end. That's our Elizabeth... even till her last minute, she had a wonderful smile in her face. An air of peace wrapped around her which made her passing so brief with torment and a little room for tears.

Then, the last one to have the pants was Bridgette, whose mother had recently passed away. Nothing magical happened to her as well, except she did have the boy that she wanted and a realization that she doesn't have a mother that she can talk to.

So in the end...they realize that no matter where life may take them, they will have each other...

"So to the pants, and the sisterhood...together and apart!"

Last Friday, the rest of the Pack of Wolves travelled up north to welcome Jo-Lo to the Christian World, the first group to go was Chu and Tatin (who travelled with his parents), then Dessagirl, Gay, Gen, Sarah, Kuya Francis and Kat who took the 7am bus ride...while Wats0n and Harry drove with Jo-Lo's numerous gifts...

Jo-Lo the Jedi Padawan

Beth, Donald and I took the 4.30 bus ride to Baguio, it was raining and heavy traffic when we left that is why it took us almost 7 1/2 hours to get there. We had our first stop in Tarlac...it was my first bus trip going to Baguio so all along I thought we would stop at Luisita, because my mind was set at eating chicken joy for my dinner...but then Victory Liner has their own place so we stopped there...

Beth was teasing me alot from Tarlac to Sison, Pangasinan because I was crying while watching Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis... hehehehe... I really didn't mind coz, I cry alot especially if Im watching movies like that. We got to Baguio at around 12.30am, and it was freezing cold... (I was so dumb enough to wear slippers!!!) when we got to the condotel, everyone was awake except for Gay who was sleeping soundly in the other room... every room was taken so I took the sofa bed in the living room... which my ESP worked overtime... I keep on looking at the window facing Burnham Park... (hehehehe) so in short, I wasn't able to sleep well... and I was the first to wake up at 5am.

At Good Shepeard

The next day, we woke up early to prepare for Jo-Lo's christening and go to UK... everyone was in jeans and casual-chic clothes except for Ninang Gay and Ninang Gen who were in a dressed to impress mode...hehehehehe... it was a quick ceremony then the group headed to Max for lunch... YUMMY!!! the funny thing was that we were all asking the same question... "SINO SI MAX?" Then I went to buy the tickets, and I went back to the condotel...I waited everyone to arrive before we go to Good Shepeard to buy UBE and strawberry jam.

After our Good Shepeard, Watson called and he said that he wants us to go to a nice coffee house along Session Road. We got to Vocas and everyone was out of money because of our little shopping spree earlier that day. So Wats0n decided to treat us a one round of drink for free... hehehehe... and then I saw a painting of Ben Cab whom I asked Wats0n to take a photo of me beside it... then I saw Kidlat Tahimik who is one of the country's premier artist with his soooo handsome son. We had a little chat because he knows my friend ConCab who is a neice of BenCab, a good friend of mine from university.

Fart of Wolves @ Vocas with

Oh my GuLaY!!!!

Then, during the course of our meal I told everyone that all I wanted to do in Baguio is to go to SM Baguio which I still believe the best designed SM mall ever. No one wanted to come with me, so I went there myself...braving the cold air and the rain... Kats told me that I should just follow the trail of people, they would somewhat take me to SM, which they did but those trail of people were going straight to SM Supermarket...so I was forced to go inside and buy eggs, cheese, star margarine and some other stuffs...

I saw Aji Ichiban and went to buy my favorite choco-mallows, then I remember that we were going to Strawberry farm the next day and Dessagirl doesn't have any slippers for the trip so I went to the department store to get her one and for our Ate Betchay as well..

Then we went to Strawberry farm the next day, but before that we had to watch Pinoy Big Brother religiously because we all wanted "RAQUEL" out of the bahay ni Kuya. Then the guys drank beer at Wats0n's room, and come 3am, Harry went inside our room and told me "Okay lang, ako lang to...si Harry!" hehehehehe...he was dead drunk... hhahahaahaha... we had to wake up at 5.30 am because we wanted to be early for Strawberry Farm, when we got there...THERE WAS NO STRAWBERRY!!! literally!!!

So we went to Trading post instead!... I got to buy lots of fresh vegetables...

That was our last stop before heading back home...

Truly, every time spent with friends is always a memorable one!!! Can't wait for the next trip...Jo-Lo kaw naman visit dito, wala na kami money...naubos na sa UK!!! :P
